9 DAYS LUXURY KENYA BUSH SAFARI

DAY 1: NAIROBI, KENYA’S CAPITAL CITY.

Kenya holiday begins in Nairobi, a landmark in East Africa. Depending on arrival time, number of sightseeing excursions are available, National Museum, and to the attractions in the nearby suburb of Karen, including Karen Blixen's homestead and Giraffe Manor. Overnight at The Norfolk Hotel, the city's finest.

DAY 2: NAIROBI - SAMBURU, KENYA

Morning flight into Kenya's northern frontier followed by a transfer into an immense private conservation ranch. The 'Laikipia' region of northern Kenya has become a model for wildlife conservation and sustainable development the world over.

Individual reserves, some as large as 100,000 acres, have been protected from rampant agriculture and cattle farming, to protect the natural wildlife and outstandingly spectacular bush lands. You'll arrive the luxurious camp in time for lunch, and immediately in the afternoon you begin your many varied activities.

DAYS 3 & 4: LAIKIPIA -SAMBURU

The area is famous for its Elephant, but this is a fragile and marvellous ecosystem with some of the rarest wildlife on earth. You can see Giraffe, the reticulated, or the Grevy's Zebra. The area abounds with the strange, long-necked Impala known as the Gerenuk, as well as the blue-legged Somali ostrich.

These creatures will be found nowhere else, but you'll also see many of the regulars, including Buffalo, common Zebra, Gazelle, and the great predators on your Kenya vacation package. You'll be shown around by the reserve's owners, all of who take a personal interest in this marvellous area. There will be opportunities for game viewing and unusual activities, like walking, and possibilities for river safaris and spelunking. Consider this like visiting an American dude ranch, with the distinct difference that you'll be hearing the roaring of Lions at night!

DAY 5: LAIKIPIA -MOUNT KENYA

The time it takes to negotiate the back roads of these very remote wildernesses are hard to gauge, so today's schedule will be leisurely. Most of the morning of your Kenya safari vacation package will be spent on the ranch, and in the afternoon you'll make your way back up the escarpment to Mount Kenya. The evening is spent in the historic splendour of the Mount Kenya Safari Club, the resort created by William Holden and today the site of the famous William Holden Wildlife Foundation. If you arrive early enough, you'll be able to visit the famous Animal Orphanage before the gourmet dinner.

DAY 6: MOUNT KENYA -MASAI MARA

Morning flight into Kenya’s big game reserve, the Masai Mara National Reserve. Arrive in time for lunch in camp, followed by afternoon game viewing. Have three nights on your Kenya holiday and enjoy the splendor of a very exclusive lodge.

DAYS 7 & 8: MASAI MARA

Three game drives are included daily from lodge . The Mara is everyone's dream of Africa comes true: gently rolling grassland plains bisected by a number of great rivers. The area is filled with lion and cheetah, and leopards are often found.

The plains are filled with wildebeest, hartebeest, topi, eland and much more, and the birdlife is incredible. You can visit a Maasai village and take a hot air balloon ride. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

DAY 9: MASAI MARA -NAIROBI

Game viewing in the morning and fly back to Nairobi, for lunch and relax in your hotel before a transfer you to the airport for your departure. That  is the Kenyan safari holiday.

7 DAYS MASAI MARA-AMBOSELI PARK-TSAVO PARK-LAKE NAKURUNATIONAL PARK.

DAY 1: NAIROBI – AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK.

Leave in the morning drive to Amboseli National Park at the foot of snow-capped Mt. Kilimanjaro royal court, Africa’s highest mountain . Arrive at in time for lunch. Afternoon game safari drive in the park. All meals and overnight at your lodge, Amboseli Serena Lodge or Oltukai Lodge.

DAY 2: AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK - TSAVO NATIONAL PARK

After an early morning safari enjoy a sumptuous breakfast. Continue eastwards, cross the Sheitani lava flow and drive past the Chyulu Hills. Tsavo National Park is the largest of Kenya’s National Parks (20,807 sqkm). Arrive in time for lunch. Afternoon game safari drive will take you to Mzima Springs, where with luck you may be able to see crocodiles and observe hippos swim under water. All meals and overnight at your lodge Finch Hattons Tented Camp.

DAY 3: TSAVO NATIONAL PARK - LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast drive to Lake Nakuru National Park with lunch enroute in Nairobi. Arrive late afternoon with a drive along the shores of the lake, home of hundreds of thousands of flamingos and truly an ornithologist’s paradise. All meals and overnight at Flamingo Tented Camp.

DAY 4: LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK- MASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE


After breakfast drive to the famous Masai Mara National Reserve. Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch. Afternoon Game drive and return to your lodge in the evening. The Masai Mara contains the greatest abundance and variety of wild animals in all Kenya’s reserves. All meals and overnight at your lodge.

DAY 5 MAASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE


Leave lodge after breakfast with picnic lunch for a whole day game drive. This day will be spent traversing g the reserve in search of the Big 5 and other plains game. The ecosystems has a contrast and the habitat looks very contrasting from one angle of the park to the other. The animals roams freely and this is the northern extension of the Serengeti Park. Return late afternoon in the lodge for dinner and overnight.

DAY 6 MASSAI MARA – LAKE NAIVASHA

Leave in the morning and drive to the floor of the Great Rift Valley to lake Naivasha arriving in time for lunch. In the afternoon head to Hell’s Gate National Park for a bike ride in the park. This is one of the game parks in the world that you can ride a bicycle with animals in sight. Explore the various attractions and return back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

DAY 7: LAKE NAIVASHA -NAIROBI


After breakfast start by having a morning boat safari in the lake when the waters are quiet in search of the many birds and other animals along the shores of the lake. Drive back to Nairobi arriving in time for lunch and later transfer to the airport for your next destination..

11 DAYS SAFARI MASAI MARA -NAKURU - AMBOSELI - MOMBASA



DAY 1: NAIROBI

On arrival start the safari with a city tour safari extending to Giraafe Centre and then check in at your hotel.In the evening have dinner at the famous Carnivore Restaurant and later check in your hotel for dinner and overnight.

DAY 2: NAIROBI -LAKE NAKURU

Depart after breakfast and drive to Lake Nakuru stopping at the Great Rift Valley view point.Lake Nakuruis known as the location of the greatest bird spectacle on earth. A hot-pink glow across the lake, due to millions of flamingos. Pelicans,African Spoon Bills,Storks also feed on the abundant algae in the warm, shallow alkaline water. Afternoon game drive in search of the rhinos and the endangered Rotschild Giraffe.Lake Nakuru is a sanctuary for birds and mammals alike.Dinner and overnight at your hotel.


DAY 3: LAKE NAKURU - MASAI MARA

Leave after breakfast, driving out of the Rift Valley, to Maasai Mara National Reserve, part of the Serengeti ecosystem. After lunch, have game drive in the afternoon returning to your lodge late in the evening for dinner and overnight.

DAY 4: MASAI MARA

Have a whole day game drive in search of the plains game of this ecosystem..Visit the famous Mara River and have lunch on the banks of this river. Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.
The Mara is the land of African legend: Lion are abundant throughout the park, as are the elephants, giraffes, and a variety of gazelle species and zebra. Cheetah and leopard are also regularly seen and, less commonly, rhino. The annual wildebeest migration, one of nature's few remaining wildlife spectacles, occurs in the Mara from July to September where the big animals and their predators are to be present in abundance during the time frame of this trip. Several species of Bee-Eater, the flying rainbow that heads the list of the Mara's birds, occur in the reserve. As well as wildlife, the Maasai Mara is also home to many members of the colorful Maasai tribe who may be seen around the borders of the park - Morans (warriors) loping across the plains, young boys herding goats, or elders grouped under a tree discussing matters of the day .A visit to a Maasai boma (homestead) reveals this outstanding culture and customs. DAY: 5 MAASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE

Have early morning game drive and return to the lodge for breakfast. Relax in the lodge and visit the Maaasai people to learn about their culture and the way of life. This day you can also have a balloon safari. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.



DAY 6: MASAI MARA – NAIROBI

After breakfast leave fo Nairobi with enroute game drive.Have picnic lunch on gthe way and proceed to Nairobi arriving late evening and check in at ypour hotel for dinner and overnight.


DAY 7: NAIROBI –AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast at 0800hrs leave for Amboseli national park. An area of 392 sq. km park with a spectacular background of Africa's highest peak; Mt. Kilimanjaro which broods on the southern end of the park. Amboseli has a large concentration of elephant and such other game as lion, buffalo, gazelle, cheetah, wildebeest, hyena, jackal, monkey, Masai giraffe, zebra and baboon. Game are seen on much of the route to the park, which crosses archer plains where Masai tend their cattle in an age-old tradition. All meals and overnight at your lodge



DAY 8: AMBOSELI - TSAVO WEST NATIONAL PARK

Leave in the morning and pass the Shetani Lave FlowProceed to your lodge for lunch.Afternoon game drive in search of elephant, lion, waterbuck, ostrich, Oryx, marabou stork, mongoose, zebra, baboon, rock hyrax, impala, hyena, Ostrich and other variety of birds. Mzima springs, situated near Kilaguni lodge are a popular spot for Hippos, crocodile and fish. The underwater viewing chamber gives you a spectacular view of the hippos' submarine activities. Another attraction is the Ngulia Rhino Sanctuary, at the base of Ngulia hills .It is a 70 sq. kilometer surrounded by a meter-high electric fence and is home to 30 black rhino. In addition, the black lava flow outside the chyulu gate and climbing the chaimu crater makes an experience at Tsavo west a memorable one. All meals and overnight at your lodge.

DAY 9: TSAVO WEST –BEACH HOTEL MOMBASA

Breakfast at the lodge hen drive to Mombasa.The City of Mombasa provides an interesting experience with the old Portuguese Fort Jesus, Old Town, Markets and Shops. An extensive variety of excursions are available to sample the local culture and the famous Kenya heritage. Dinner and overnight at your beach hotel.

DAY 10: MOMBASA

Full day own leisure in Mombasa white pristine. All meals and overnight at your hotel.

DAY 11: MOMBASA / NAIROBI

Breakfast at the hotel then transfer to the airport for flight back to Nairobi. You will then check in for your international flight back home.

10 DAYS MERU NATIONAL PARK- LAIKIPIA –MAASAI MARA SAFARI


DAY 1 : NAIROBI

A transfer to a city hotel after your arrival.You will be briefed by our representative and the taken to your hotel for dinner and overnight.

DAY 2 AND 3: - MERU NATIONAL PARK SAFARI

After breakfast take a flight to Nanyuki and then connect by chartered flight to Meru National Park.
Meru was the home of Elsa
 the lioness made famous by Joy and George Adamson. Its  an arid park, with gigantic baobab trees, crystal clear palm-fringed springs and streams fed by water from Mt. Kenya and Nyambene mountains.Animals like eland, Beisa oryx, gerenuk, elephant, Grevys zebra, reticulated giraffe, gazelles,lesser kudu and predators,lion ,leopard,cheetah and hyena are on the safari list..
During your two days you will explore the park with professional driver/guides on game drives and on foot if you wish with a ranger. All meals and overnight at Elsa Kopje Camp.

DAYS 4, 5 AND 6 :- LAIKIPIA PLATEAU SAFARI

Depart by a private charter to game sanctuary, Mugie Ranch. With 50,000 acres of plains, valleys, acacia and wild olive woodland, this ranch is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including vast herds of elephant. Activities include game drives, horseback riding amongst the animals guided  exploration on foot ,and night game drives.
Mugie camp is comprised of 6 large walk-in tents, with a private hot water shower and flush toilet attached to the rear of the tent. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

DAYS 7, 8 AND 9 MAASAI MARA SAFARI
Depart by charter to Nanyuki where you will connect with the scheduled flight to the seventh wonder of the world Maasai Mara National Reserve, drive to your camp for lunch. Afternoon game drive.All meals dinner and overnight at the camp.

DAY 10: FLY BACK TONAIROBI

Have an early morning game drive and return back to the camp for breakfast.Bid farewell to your team and fly back to Nairobi. Have lunch and the last minute shopping before a transfer to the airport to your next destination.

DAY 2: MOMBASA - TSAVO EAST

After an early breakfast leave Mombasa for Tsavo East the Kenya’s oldest and largest park where the infamous man- eaters of Tsavo halted the construction of Mombasa Uganda railway by terrorizing railway workers. There are large herds of Elephants, Buffallo, Common waterbuck, Elands, Gerenuks, Impala and Masai Giraffe. You have lunch at Voi Safari Lodge sited on top of one of the hills. Have an afternoon game drive where you come across the spectacle Mudanda rock. This is 11/2 Km long outcrop is a water catchment area which supplies a natural dam at its base. In the dry season hundreds of elephants come to drink and bathe. Dinner and overnight at Voi Safari Lodge.

DAY 3: TSAVO EAST – TSAVO WEST

After breakfast leave for Tsavo east heading for Tsavo west national Park whereby you will come across lava flows and cones such as Shetani lava flow which is a perfect example of a recent volcano activity. This volcanic zone contains the famous Mzima springs where about 50 million gallons of sparkling crystal clear water gush out daily from below a lava ridge. Hippopotamus and Shoals of barbell live in the springs and provide a dramatic spectacle. The water is so clear that every action of these huge aquatic beasts under the water and their attendants Piscine Scarengars may be watched from the lookouts or through the plate glass windows of the submerged observation chamber. Dinner and overnight at Kilanguni lodge.

DAY 4: TSAVO WEST – MOMBASA

Depart Tsavo west for Mombasa where you spend the better morning relaxing in your hotel and later in the afternoon you will be transferred to the airport to catch your flight back home.

Day 5: Samburu Game Reserve

Drive after breakfast to Lake Nakuru to arrive at the Camp in time for Lunch.  A brief afternoon siesta followed by a game drive in the famous Lake Nakuru National Park.  All meals and overnight stay at Lake Nakuru Lodge LDBB

Day 8: Masai Mara National Reserve
Check out after breakfast and depart, driving through the floor of the rift valley past Narok Township to the famous Masai Mara Game Reserve.  This game reserve offers wonderful scenery, plenty of game and is the home of the great migration. Arrive for lunch at Mara Sopa Lodge followed some time to rest before departing for an afternoon game drive en route to your overnight lodge. During the game drive, you may be lucky to spot any of the big five.

Day 9: Masai Mara National Reserve

Day 10: Mara / Nairobi

Day 1: Nairobi – Sweetwaters Game Reserve
Pick up from your Nairobi city centre hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and transfer to Wilson airport for your schedule flight to Nanyuki.   Flight departs Nairobi at 1020hrs and arrives into Nanyuki at 1220hrs.Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred in the camp vehicle to Sweetwaters Tented Camp. After lunch proceed for an afternoon game drive whereby you will have a chance to visit Chimpanzee Sanctuary, returning back to the Camp as the sunsets.

Day 2: Sweetwaters Game Reserve

Sweetwaters tented camp lies in the heart of the private 24,000 acre Sweetwaters Game Reserve. The 30 luxuriously appointed en-suite tents have magnificent views across the plains to the snow-capped peaks of Mount Kenya. Located in typical savannah grasslands, punctuated by the 'whistling thorn' shrubs and acacia trees, Sweetwaters really is an oasis. It offers guests the indulgence of a swimming pool, some of the finest tented accommodation in Kenya, with personalized service and attention to detail. At Sweetwaters there is plenty to see. Giraffe, zebra, eland, oryx, waterbuck, Grant's gazelle, Thompson's gazelle, elephant, buffalo, cheetah, lion, silver-backed jackals, ostrich, hartebeest, baboon and rhino are all present. There are also several hundred bird species to be observed. There is always a resident naturalist around to help you with your identifications. The private game reserve is also home to the only chimpanzee sanctuary in Kenya. Most of the chimps came from the Jane Goodall Institute in Burundi and the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary now cares for them as a non-profit making venture. Most of the chimps were rescued from the most appalling conditions and it is truly heart-warming to see them living in the riverine forest and savannah grasslands here

Day 3: Sweetwaters - Masai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast transfer to Nanyuki airstrip for your scheduled flight to the Masai Mara. Flight departs Nanyuki at 09h45 and arrives into the Masai Mara at 11h00. On arrival you are transferred to the Mara Serena Lodge for lunch. Following lunch and an afternoon siesta, there is a game drive that returns to the lodge as the sun sets.

Day 4: Masai Mara National Reserve

Mara Serena Lodge seemingly floats on a sea of savannah; a masterful interpretation of a traditional Masai village. A beautiful pool looks out over the wide plains. The rooms are Masai-influenced in style yet extremely comfortable. The main dining room, where delicious meals are served, has three large domes and three small ones depicting Maasai Manyatta (villages). Occasionally an African al fresco barbecue is served by the pool overlooking the Mara plains. Fresh fruit juices and cocktails, wines, spirits or liqueurs are available at the bar until late in the evening. At Serena, the views are stunning. It is on this very terrain, stretching endlessly before the lodge, that the annual migrations take place. Millions of wildebeest, zebra and gazelle pass through on their way to and from their alternative feeding grounds in Tanzania.

Day 5: Masai Mara National Reserve - Nairobi
After breakfast in the lodge, you will be transferred to the airstrip with game drive enroute to catch the scheduled flight to Nairobi which departs Masai Mara at 11h00 and arriving at 1215 hrs. You will be met and transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or Nairobi City Centre for your onward arrangements.
