6 Days Wild Chimpanzees & Gorilla Holiday In Rwanda

Day 1: Arrival In Kigali & Transfer To The Home Of Mountain Gorillas.

You will be met at the airport and   drive north of Rwanda to Volcanoes National Park viewing  scenery of the Virunga Mountains. Dinner and overnight stay at your hotel.

Day 2: Gorilla Tracking & Cultural /Nature Walk

After breakfast head to the park headquarters with packed lunch & water for a briefing about  the gorillas information then proceed to track the gorillas. The time to trace the gorillas is 2-8hours depending on where they are feeding and their movement. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.

Day 3: Golden Monkey Tracking.

Have  breakfast and head for yet another adventure of tracking the rare golden monkeys in the Bamboo forest. Return to the lodge for lunch and leave for Kigali. Dinner and overnight stay in Kigali.

Day 4: Transfer To Nyungwe Forest National Park.

Take your breakfast and drive to south western Rwanda to Nyungwe Forest national park. Enroute stop in Butare town to visit Rwanda National Museum, then Murambi genocide memorial museum. Proceed to the forest, relax at the lodge as you wait for dinner & overnight. (Nyungwe forest lodge (Luxury) / Peace guest lodge (Deluxe) / Gisakura guest house (Budget).

Day 5: Chimp Tracking.

After breakfast, proceed for chimpanzees tracking in the forest with the park rangers. Expect an encounter with other primates like colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, vervets, mangabeys, and many others. Dinner and overnight stay at Nyungwe forest lodge./Peace G/H / Gisakura GH.

Day 6: Departure

Have breakfast and drive back to Kigali city for a tour to Gisozi genocide memorial center, local art & craft shops, do last minute shopping before driving to the airport for the scheduled flight back home.
